The Vatican

During our last full day in Rome, we started early with a tour of the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Our guide was excellent, sharing with us some very interesting anecdotes about the Sistine Chapel. As in Florence, I was not permitted to take photos of some of the most stunning and transcendent works I viewed, specifically in the Sistine Chapel, but any photos I might have taken wouldn’t have fairly represented the works, in any event.
